‘Escape Room: Tournament of Champions’ Clip Turns a Train Car into an Electrified Prison [Video]
Winning was just the beginning.
Adam Robitel‘s Escape Room has nicely positioned itself as a sort of Saw-lite franchise, delivering PG-13 thrills with deadly traps in cleverly designed rooms. Robitel is back for this year’s Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, which Sony is releasing in theaters July 16.
Fandango has debuted the first official clip from the sequel today, which sees the various characters realizing the one thing that connects them all: they’ve all won the games before.
And this time, there may be no escape for any of them…
“Escape Room: Tournament of Champions is the sequel to the box office hit psychological thriller that terrified audiences around the world. In this installment, six people unwittingly find themselves locked in another series of escape rooms, slowly uncovering what they have in common to survive…and discovering they’ve all played the game before.”
Taylor Russell and Logan Miller are back from Robitel’s first Escape Room, starring in the new movie alongside Indya Moore, Holland Roden, Thomas Cocquerel, and Carlito Olivero.
The sequel’s script was written by Will Honley and Oren Uziel and Maria Melnik & Daniel Tuch.
