Take your final breath.

A new shark attack horror movie starring Tucker and Dale vs. Evil actress Katrina Bowden, Great White is swimming to U.S. theaters on July 16, and we’ve got a new poster for ya today.

This one’s a case of “truth in advertising,” as there is indeed a Great White shark prominently featured on the poster. It puts the spotlight on a pretty cool action shot from the movie, with our heroine blasting the hungry Great White with a flare gun. We’re thinking that won’t do much beyond pissing him off, and you know what happens when sharks get pissed off.

Check out the brand new poster below and look for this one in both theaters and on VOD come July 16. It’s from “Executive Producers of the 47 Meters Down series,” by the way…

Michael Boughen (Tomorrow, When The War Began, Killer Elite, The Loved Ones) wrote the script, while commercial director Martin Wilson makes his feature directorial debut.

“Great White, inspired by true events, taps into our most primal fear of the deep, and delivers the stuff of nightmares in the form of the ocean’s most dangerous apex predator.”

The film follows the story of seaplane operators and lovers, Kaz Fellows (Katrina Bowden) and Charlie Brody (Aaron Jakubenko), along with their passengers, Joji Minase (Tim Kano), his wife Michelle (Kimie Tsukakoshi), and cook Benny (Te Kohe Tuhaka), who take a flight to the picturesque Hell’s Reef.

It isn’t long though before their idyllic trip turns into a living hell when they become abandoned miles from shore and in grave danger from what lurks just below the surface. Their only chance of making it out alive is to get to the beach, but with two Great White sharks hunting them, the odds are not in their favour. What ensues is a battle for survival of the most epic proportions against nature’s most lethal predators.
