Marvel Expecting to Make ‘Blade’ Reboot Announcements Very Soon; Project is “Coming Together”
It was announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 that Marvel is bringing Blade back to the big screen in the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali taking over the role. The most recent update on the project was back in October, when we had learned the hunt for a writer(s) was on, but things have mostly been silent otherwise.
What’s the latest on Blade’s upcoming arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? During Disney’s Investor Day presentation yesterday, Marvel’s Kevin Feige teased that we can expect announcements “very soon,” as the project is coming together behind the scenes.
“As we announced at Comic-Con last year, we’re moving ahead with Blade, starring Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali,” Feige said during the 4-hour Disney presentation.
He continued, “The development and storylines are coming together, and we’ll have announcements very, very soon.”
As soon as we hear anything further, we’ll of course let you know.
The Wesley Snipes-starring Blade, meanwhile, came to 4K Ultra HD earlier this month!
