[Exclusive] ‘Hotline Miami: Wildlife’, a Comic Spin-Off From The Video Game Series, Arrives This Fall
We all love Hotline Miami and its ballet of brutality, along with its whacked-out story. Speaking of which, since it’s not known whether we’ll ever get a third entry in the series, we’ll have to find another medium to get our fix for world building a lore. Lucky for us, Behemoth Comics are doing just that with their upcoming 8-part miniseries based on Hotline Miami!
Set for arriving in September, Hotline Miami: Wildlife is an an original story in the Hotline Miami universe told from the perspective of a brand-new character, Chris, and his struggle to deal with a coming war, his tendency towards self-destruction, and the mysterious pseudo-patriots of 50 Blessings. The story will “take fans of the Hotline Miami games to new locales and introduce new masked figures while exploring dark and disturbing themes reminiscent of the series namesake.”
Each 30+ page issue is written by Federico Chemello and Maurizio Furini with art by Alberto Massaggia, Ludovica Ceregatti (with Giorgia Lanza), Andrea Dotta and Andrea Errico. The oversized first-issue will be released by Behemoth Comics physically through Diamond Comic Distributors throughout the US in September. Monthly releases will follow and each half of the 8 issues will be collected in graphic novel format as well.
And, as part of an exclusive, we have the cover for the first issue, along with a few of the pages!
Hotline Miami: Wildlife will also be available for purchase across many digital platforms, including the Behemoth website, Amazon Kindle, comiXology, and Google Play.
Hotline Miami and its sequel, Hotline Miami 2, are available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
