Publisher Digerati and developer Failbetter Games have announced that they’re bringing the Lovecraftian-themed game Sunless Sea: Zubmariner Edition to the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch later this month on April 23 and April 24, respectively. The original version of Sunless Sea first launched back in 2015 for the PC, which eventually was ported to the PlayStation 4 in August 2018 as the Zubmariner Edition.
In Sunless Sea, you take on the role of an Unterzee steamship captain in a Victorian gothic setting. Depending on your ambition, you can win by becoming Fallen London’s most celebrated explorer or amassing enough wealth to retire. In order to do so, you must discover new locations, trade goods across the Unterzee, battle other ships and “zee monsters”, and completing “storylet” quests.
