Control has once again edged out Death Stranding when it comes to awards shows. At the GDCA, which was streamed last night, the Remedy Entertainment thriller walked away last night with three awards (after five nominations), while Death Stranding, which was nominated for seven categories, walked away empty-handed.

Control earned awards in the Best Audio, Best Visual Art and Best Technology categories. However, Control and Death Stranding (alongside Sekiro) lost out the Game of The Year award to House House’s Untitled Goose Game.

Meanwhile, Disco Elysium picked up two awards in Best Narrative and Best Debut. For those fans of adventure games (including cult classic Phantasmagoria and Shivers), Roberta Williams was given the Pioneer Award.

Up next for Control and Death Stranding are the BAFTA Awards (though Control and Sekiro are the ones up for Best Game), which take place on April 2nd.
