What if Elite Hunting opened up for business… in 1901?
The Eli Roth-created Hostel franchise has taken us to Slovakia and Las Vegas across three films, but it’s now been nearly a decade since the release of Scott Spiegel’s Hostel: Part III and we haven’t heard a peep from the franchise in a long time. It’s a bummer, because the franchise’s terrifying concept of a pay-to-torture service has endless potential for expansion.
Like, for example, how about a period piece exploring the origins of Elite Hunting?!
Using Red Dead Redemption 2 as his medium, David Vann (Gigerbrick) has imagined such a prequel this week, bringing Hostel into 1901 with a creation whipped up in Red Dead Online.
Suddenly, we’re kinda itching for a 1900s-set Hostel film…
