An accidental leak on the Metro Exodus website has revealed that the game will be receiving its third DLC next month. The leak came from an image that was accidentally uploaded to the website, but was quickly taken down. Of course, not before eagle-eyed (and quick thinking) fans took screenshots for “Sam’s Story” (which you can see below). Now, 4A Games and Deep Silver have acknowledged the DLC, and posted an official announcement.
“Sam’s Story” will launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Stadia on February 11th, and will be a “sandbox-survival expansion”. Players will assume the role of Sam, a former US Marine and Spartan Ranger, who has worked under Colonel Miller since the nuclear war devastated Moscow. Now, Sam is looking to make his way back to his home country, and will have to trek through Vladivostok’s tsunami ravaged harbours, ruined industrial buildings, and crumbling residential districts.
No launch trailer has been released for the DLC as of yet. Metro Exodus is available now on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
