Well, this will be interesting. The nominees for The Game Awards 2019 have been revealed, and the competition for Game of The Year is going to be a tough one.
Genre fans will be in heaven (or hell, depending on your point of view), as Control, Death Stranding, Resident Evil 2, The Outer Worlds and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice are all up for Game of the Year, alongside Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Action Game of the Year isn’t any easier, as Devil May Cry 5, Gears 5 and Metro Exodus have the nod.
For the Action/Adventure Game of the Year, things are once again complicated, as Borderlands 3 is up against Control, Death Stranding, Resident Evil 2, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.
In all, Control and Death Stranding lead the nominations with eight and nine respectively, including multiple nominations in Best Performance.
