In Capcom’s recent financial report, the Japanese giant was eager to celebrate the success stories of Resident Evil 2 Remake, Monster Hunter World, and Devil May Cry 5, but it also looked to the future by promising to keep on utilizing these present franchises, and also resurrect some of its past.

Capcom wants to revive dormant IP. The IPs in question are ones ‘for which we have not recently released new titles‘ according to Capcom’s report to its investors, and it plans to do so by increasing the number of its developers.

So what could be coming back? Well, with a clear thirst for horror and monsters, it’d be easy to pick Dino Crisis for that much sought-after return. Onimusha may have got a remaster, but maybe we’re in line to see a return to the demon-slaying series? There’s also grounds for the likes of Ghosts N Goblins or Darkstalkers making a return, or even Lost Planet, which has been missing for this entire console generation.

Capcom is also looking to create new IP too, so while it’ll be great to see some old friends return, it’ll be just as nice to make some new ones.

What do you hope gets a revival?
