It’s been whispered about for a long while now, but it looks like a new Plants vs. Zombies game is on the horizon after Electronic Arts registered a new trademark in Europe.
The title Plants vs. Zombies: Battle For Neighborville was registered by EA recently, and while there’s no official word on a new game by the company, it’s been reported not long ago that people had been enlisted in a closed alpha for a Plants vs. Zombies game codenamed ‘Picnic’ , so this could well be the title of that game.
‘Picnic’ is thought to be a shooter akin to the Garden Warfare games, but this would indicate a different approach with the Garden Warfare moniker being dropped.
It all points to an announcement due sooner rather than later. Gamescom is nearing, so that’s a possible time for it.
