Thanks to Massively Successful Fundraiser, ‘Terrifier 2’ is Definitely Happening With No Gore Restrictions!
As we told you yesterday, Damien Leone‘s Terrifier 2 will soon be bringing Art the Clown back to life, and though the sequel had already been funded, an Indiegogo campaign was launched just yesterday in order to raise additional funds for A) a big name horror icon, and B) an epic gore sequence featuring, in Leone’s own words, “mass casualties.”
A mere 24 hours after the campaign launched, the $50,000 goal was SMASHED to pieces by fans, who have thus far donated over $100,000 to make Terrifier 2 as big and gory as possible. At the time of writing this article, $100,102 has been raised by 571 backers, meaning the goal has been more than 200% completed. An insane testament to this franchise’s popularity.
Leone explains the scene that will now be making it into the movie, “Without beating around the bush, I wrote an EPIC scene in the screenplay for Terrifier 2. Without spoiling all the juicy, gory details, the scene will involve mass casualties and the destruction of its location, BUT it is the context of the scene that truly makes it so original. We’re aiming to create a scene so shocking and iconic that people will talk about it for years to come. Imagine if Art the Clown was in charge of the prom mayhem in Carrie…meets David Lynch…meets Maniac….just sayin.”
The director had also promised a mysterious horror icon would be cast if the goal amount was exceeded, so needless to say, it looks like that will definitely be happening as well!

After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to Miles County where he must hunt down and destroy a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween.
