Lovecraft-inspired investigation game The Sinking City is not too far away from slithering onto PC and consoles, and with that in mind, developer Frogwares is keen to unveil more information about the hellish world you’ll be visiting this Summer.
The latest trailer for the game, titled ‘Rotten Reality’, looks deep into the decay and rot that is decimating Oakmont, Massachusetts. The player, as private investigator Charles W. Reed, must overcome the increasing mental trauma the city is causing him to unravel the mystery of why the city, he, and the citizens are being dragged into this madness.
Frogwares is a dab hand at investigative games, having created several solid Sherlock Holmes titles over the years, so The Sinking City has promise in that department. It’ll be interesting to see how it blends that with cosmic horror.
The Sinking City is coming June 27 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
