Observation is shaping up to be a rather interesting game. The developer, NoCode, is behind the highly effective text horror game Stories Untold after all, and the latest trailer for its new game drives that home.
In Observation, you are effectively playing as a space station, or rather, the AI that runs it. You are investigating events that transpired aboard the station, and the story trailer suggests that something rather unnatural took place.
As well as the trailer, we also learned that Observation will be releasing on May 21, 2019, on PC and PS4.
It’s a pretty cool twist to not be playing as the humans in this story, but instead assuming the role of the AI. Hopefully, we see it pay off with an interesting story. Given how well NoCode told a scary story in Stories Untold with little more than words, it’s exciting to imagine what they can do with a more extravagant toolset.
