Players Discover Hidden Dev Room in ‘Fallout 76’

Fallout 76 has had a rough time since its release, and with news that players have been able to uncover a secret “developer room” that was left in the game doesn’t make things any easier.

The existence of the room was being made known on Reddit earlier this week. It only gained traction from there once players discovered that you could grab unreleased items, top-tier weapons, and plans for every item in the game from the room. There’s also a level 1 human NPC, named Wooby, hanging out the room, as well.

How you access the room isn’t exactly made clear, but it presumably involves the use of mods or the editing of game files. Seeing as there’s no console to bring up in game that you would use to enable things like ghosting or teleporting (as in Fallout 4 or Skyrim, which have their own secret dev rooms), the aforementioned hypotheses are the most likely route.

Also, if you’re thinking of doing it, don’t. Bethesda has already caught wind of players doing it, and have started issuing bans to those who have managed to get into the room.

Fallout 76 is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. But personally, I’d pass on it in favour of revisiting Fallout 4 or New Vegas.
