LD Entertainment’s Jacob’s Ladder remake, one of 30 films we can’t wait to see this year, has been delayed. The distributor confirmed to Bloody Disgusting that the film is shifting off of its planned February 1st release, although a new date has yet to be set.
David M. Rosenthal directs the re-imagining, which stars Michael Ealy (Underworld: Awakening), Guy Burnet (“Ray Donovan”), Karla Souza (How to Get Away with Murder) and Nicole Beharie (“Sleepy Hollow”)
In the original film, “…a haunted Vietnam War veteran attempts to discover his past while suffering from a severe case of dissociation. To do so, he must decipher reality and life from his own dreams, delusion, and perception of death.“
Scripted by Jeff Buhler and Sarah Thorp, this version is a modern day paranoid action thriller about two brothers.

Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon and Jennifer Monroe at LD Entertainment will produce alongside Alison Rosenzweig and Michael Gaeta of Gaeta/Rosenzweig Films (Fright Night).
