Originally scheduled for a third-quarter release this year, Invader Studios’ tribute-turned-original game Daymare: 1998 is now scheduled for release during 2019’s second quarter, thanks to a new deal with publisher Destructive Creations. The publisher will also be helping out behind the scenes on in-game animations and cutscenes for the title, which also has a new website.

In addition, Invader Studios has also released a couple of new screenshots for Daymare, which is aiming for a PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release.

What was originally an unofficial remake of Resident Evil 2, Daymare is now an original game that centers around three characters, each with their own individual paths in the game. Liev is a no-nonsense H.A.D.E.S. merc who does as they are told, regardless of the consequences. Raven is a helicopter pilot with a dark past, and Samuel is a forest ranger who suffers from paranoia and anxiety. Taking place in 1998, the town of Keen Height gets thrown into chaos as an industrial accident by Hexacore Biogenetics that results in zombies showing up.
