The most coveted celebration of Indian Cinema once again brought together the biggest stars of Bollywood for a high octane night of glitz, glamor and of course gossip.
No wonders our Shahrukh Khan did it again! The superstar took home the black lady for his superlative performance in My Name Is Khan. King Khan was indeed worth the adulation, but ignoring Natha of Peepli Live was not a done deal. The tiny man was not even nominated.
However, Kajol winning the Best Actress award was not a sweet surprise, when the nominations had names like Vidya Balan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma. (Yes we did not consider Kareena Kapoor as a nominee).
Dabangg mania approached up at the Filmfare awards and the movie bagged the Best Film award.
As expected, Karan Johar was chosen as the Best Director for My Name is Khan.
Mamta Sharma and Sunidhi Chauhan were celebrated for crooning Munni and Sheila respectively while Rahat Fateh Ali Khan baaged the Best Play Back Singer (Male) award for Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji (Ishqia)
Beside making a debut in the industry, Sonakshi Sinha made a debut on filmfare stage as well with her scintillating performnace. Priyanka Chopra paid a tribute to Madhuri Dixit by grooving on her most popular numbers.
Not just this, Bollywod's dhak-dhak girl, Madhuri Dixit set the stage on fire as she joined Shah Rukh Khan for a mesmerizing performance.
