Bloody Disgusting has learned that Sam Worthington (Avatar) will topline the tentatively titled Fracture, about a man who must find his courage and hold onto his sanity when his wife and daughter disappear in the middle of an ER visit.
Even cooler, the film is to be directed by Brad Anderson (Session 9, The Machinist, Beirut, Transsiberian) with plans to release on Netflix in 2019.
In the film, “Driving cross-country, Ray (Worthington) and his wife and daughter stop at a highway rest area where his daughter falls and breaks her arm. After a frantic rush to the hospital and a clash with the check-in nurse, Ray is finally able to get her to a doctor. While the wife and daughter go downstairs for an MRI, Ray, exhausted, passes out in a chair in the lobby. Upon waking up, they have no record or knowledge of Ray’s family ever being checked in.”
Alan McElroy (Spawn, Wrong Turn, Halloween 4) wrote the screenplay, with producers including Paul Schiff, Neal Edelstein, and Mike Macari.
