Remember that Polanski-inspired thriller The Works of Mercy by developer Pentacle we reported on back in May? The game’s June 7th release date had to be postponed, but is now releasing in a few days’ time of September 26th on Steam!
Sporting some very impressive visuals and even more disturbing gore, the game puts you the player in the unenvious position of having to commit murder on seemingly innocent people in order to save your own family. As is the way with things like this (if there was any situation that could compare to it), every action has its consequences.
All the while, you must grapple with questions to the identity of your tormentor, and why they have it out for your family.
You can check out the first six minutes of gameplay below.
