Once you see him, you can’t unsee him.
Our first taste of Sony’s Slender Man came in the form of an experimental, one-minute teaser trailer back in January, which was cut together like the VHS tape from The Ring. In the wake of controversy and multiple date changes, we’ve finally got the full trailer.
And yes, the titular icon is actually on display in this trailer, which is far superior to the previous one. Why the hell did it take so long for this Creepypasta to get his own big screen movie?!
Slender Man arrives on August 10.
The Sylvain White-directed film centers on a tall, thin figure with a featureless face that is responsible for the haunting, stalking and disappearance of countless victims.
“In a small town in Massachusetts, four high school girls perform a ritual in an attempt to debunk the lore of Slender Man. When one of the girls goes mysteriously missing, they begin to suspect that she is, in fact, HIS latest victim.”
The Conjuring and Wish Upon‘s Joey King and Julia Goldani Telles star with Captain Fantastic actress Annalise Basso, Jaz Sinclair (When The Bough Breaks), and Alex Fitzalan.
