Prior to the arrival of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, the best classic Castlevania game in many a gamers’ opinion was the once Japan-exclusive Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. Not only did the game give the series a boost in the gameplay department, the soundtrack is widely considered one of the very best in the series. So much so, that Mondo are bringing a special treat to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
That’s right, Mondo is bringing a colored vinyl pressing of the soundtrack to Castlevania: Rondo of Blood to Comic-Con in a two-LP album set, pressed on red and blue split vinyl. The set will cost $35, and feature some insanely cool artwork by Oliver Barrett. Only 250 will be produced, so you know who to bribe. For those who can’t make it, Mondo will have the album up on their website in the future, albeit not in the coloured vinyl.
In addition, Mondo will also have another exclusive in the form of a screen print poster for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, with are done by Becky Cloonan. The poster features a handful of characters from the game done in Cloonan’s modern gothic style, and will set you back $45.
