If you’ve been hungry for a physical copy of Michael Abels’ score to Jordan Peele’s Get Out, Waxwork Records has you covered with a vinyl release coming this week.
Via Pitchfork, “The deluxe 2xLP set includes “Garden Party” green marbled vinyl, as well as an essay by Peele about his collaboration with composer Michael Abels.”
“I had some ideas. I envisioned distinctly black voices harmonically creating an unnatural sound. The absence of hope. The void of the voiceless. A disembodied Negro spiritual. The Sunken Place,” Peele writes in the aforementioned liner notes.
The release will be up for grabs on Friday, June 15, through Waxwork’s site.
