“Living Dead Weekend” Celebrates ‘Dawn of the Dead’ 40th Anniversary Inside the Actual Mall!
Forty years ago, the late George A. Romero forever immortalized Pennsylvania’s Monroeville Mall as an iconic tourist destination for horror fans, filming his classic Dawn of the Dead inside the still-operational mall. This summer, The Living Dead Weekend presents the ultimate Dawn of the Dead fan event, taking place inside the iconic Monroeville Mall!
From June 8-10, this year’s first of two Living Dead Weekends pays tribute to the 40th anniversary of Romero’s Dawn of the Dead, with tickets starting at just $15.
The event is being billed as…
“A fan convention like no other, celebrating the works of George A. Romero during the anniversary year of DAWN OF THE DEAD. Featuring a reunion of both the place the movie takes place and all of the people who made it, from the lead actors to your favorite screen zombies, to the people behind the scenes that made it all happen. Featuring exhibits and guests from your favorite horror movies. It’s all here in the form of a huge fan gathering and convention.”
