Remember that rumour last month about Blizzard looking to bring Diablo III to the Nintendo Switch? There wasn’t a heck of a lot to go off of, but according to an earlier Twitter post (and according to a Eurogamer source), that rumour seems most likely to be true.
Last week, in what Blizzard was calling “a fun engagement piece”, they posted this little gem:

Obviously, things blew up. But then an official response emerged from within Blizzard stating that the company didn’t have “any current plans to announce [Diablo III] for Switch”. As mentioned, this is where Eurogamer’s “source” comes in. The source stated that while they couldn’t confirm whether the game’s “Reaper of Souls” and “Rise of the Necromancer” expansions would be included, the game’s reveal is “several months off”.
Now again, this is Rumour Control. If Blizzard is really going to go through all of that trouble to drum up speculation, there has to be some logical reason for doing so. Of course, if it turns out to be Diablo III nightlights, I’d buy one.
